Kona Principals

Spencer L. Youngblood is a former principal in the initiation of the PaineWebber/Geodyne Energy Income Program that was responsible for over $400 million of investment in property acquisitions from 1984 to 1990. He has held various executive positions within the oil and gas industry, concentrating on oil and gas acquisitions. He is a graduate of LSU in Petroleum Engineering, has a M.B.A. from Florida Technological University, is a Registered Professional Engineer and is a member of both the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Society of Professional Evaluation Engineers (SPEE)

Wes Youngblood

Wesley S. Youngblood, formerly a production and completions engineer for Kerr-McGee from 1994-1999, joined Kona in 1999. He handles the evaluation of all acquisition and drilling opportunities for the company. He is also a graduate of LSU in Petroleum Engineering, is a registered Professional Engineer and is a member of both the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Society of Professional Evaluation Engineers (SPEE).

Ryan Youngblood

Ryan M. Youngblood is a practicing attorney who joined Kona after graduating from South Texas College of Law in 1998 where he specialized in oil, gas and mineral law. He handles land, legal and business development duties for the company. He is a member of the following industry organizations: IPAA, TIPRO, Houston Producer’s Forum (HPF), Oklahoma Independent Producers Association (OIPA) and the Houston A&D Forum.
